Meet The Denver Pro Pet Sitting Team
KRISTINA R.
Hi there! My name is Kristina and here’s a little about me:
Animals have always been my passion! Growing up, we had two hyper dogs, a snuggling cat, a couple birds, a horse named Sheza, iguanas, turtles, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters and snakes. Taking care of the furry ones and making them a part of our family was always our priority. Something I very much uphold to as an adult with my own family now. Speaking of my family, I have two cats (an F4 SBT Savannah and an all black domestic cat) as well as an amazing husband and two sweet kiddos that I love dearly!
I was born in Cleveland but grew up in South Florida. Went to college in Minnesota, spent some time in Northern & Southern California...and finally found my forever home here in Colorado. I love everything outdoors and being in the open air of the mountains. As an active person, I am constantly running around (literally) and exploring new areas.
I look forward to meeting your furry family and creating new relationships with them!
Alisha B.
Hi, my name is Alisha, and here is a little bit about me:
I have always had a deep love for animals, and they have always been some of my greatest friends! I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a sweet Keeshond, and moved to Minnesota for the beginning of my undergraduate degree after completing high school. In 2002, my family moved to Colorado, where we welcomed our second Keeshond into our family. I began working with animals professionally at a veterinary clinic and doggie day care while in school, and loved being around and working with their healing power. I eventually received my B.A. from Colorado State University in Technical Journalism: Television News and Video Communication, and I remained in Fort Collins for eight years after that working with college students planning their next steps, and pet-sitting part-time. In 2010, I moved to Pittsburgh, PA for graduate school to pursue my love of working with people in a clinical role. I received my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and moved back to Denver Colorado in 2013 where I am currently working as a Licensed Professional Counselor pursuing both my loves of working with people and animals at a ranch with horses, dogs, cats, mini-horses, goats, chickens, pigs, and sheep doing equine and animal-assisted therapy. I could not have completed my academic journey without my trusted companion cats Daisy, Beans, and Olive, or our sweet family dog, Zoe.
I absolutely love working with animals and caring for them, and I can't wait to meet you and yours! Take good care.
Emily H.
Hi! My name is Emily and here’s a little bit about me:
I’ve loved animals since I was a child. Unfortunately, my dad was allergic to cats and dogs, so instead of imaginary friends, I had imaginary dogs that I would play with. Growing up, we had fish and birds in the house, and once I got to college, I adopted a ball python and later a bearded dragon.
I grew up in Southern California and graduated UC Santa Barbara with a Zoology degree. My senior year of college I was volunteering at the Santa Barbara Zoo, where I was offered my dream job shortly after I graduated. I initially worked with the barnyard animals, giant anteaters, giraffe, and meerkats; after a couple months I was offered a full-time position working with the elephants. I worked with them for six years, also caring for reindeer, toucans, small monkeys, pigs, and capybaras, among others.
While at the zoo I also worked part-time at a veterinary emergency room as well as a Canine Physical Therapy Clinic, giving me a lot of clinical experience with cats and dogs. More recently, I have done some pet-sitting for friends here and there, and with the pandemic I took the opportunity to change things up and move to Colorado.
I’m excited for this new adventure and look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members!
Bradley N.
Hi, my name is Brad and here is little bit about me:
I recently moved back to Colorado after completing my Master’s in International Security Studies from The George Washington University in Washington D.C. where I focused on environmental security impacts from climate change and technological solutions to help address the challenge. While I never had the opportunity to have a pet when I was growing up in New York City and Connecticut, I always had a great love for the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with animals.
I have more than 15 years’ experience walking dogs and cat sitting for friends, family, and neighbors. Before going to graduate school, I was a student at Denver University. My younger years in Denver was one of the most memorable times in my life and drove me to come back to the city I love and the community I now call home. I really enjoy taking walks with canine friends, and in my picture you can see Collie, my friends’ dog that I have known and helped raise since it was a puppy 11 years ago. I look forward to taking care of your pet and brightening their day!
Justine T.
Hi friends! My name is Justine and here's a bit about me:
I was born and raised in Florida, where I went to school for photography and graphic design whilst working early mornings at a coffee shop. In the midst of the pandemic, my fiancé and I moved to Colorado to make it our forever home. My free-time is likely spent tending to my garden/house plants, doing yoga, playing video games, and hosting the occasional dinner party.
Growing up in a condo didn't allow for me to have any pets of my own other than fish. Deeply saddened by this- my furry (or scaly) friend fix had to come from friends or relatives. Came college and not many friends had pets, but the coffee shop customers did! The exposure became daily, and the love for animals grew with it. It wasn't just pups that got pup cups either: cats, birds, snakes, lizards, and even a squirrel in a santa suite. I realized that was the best part of the job, and so I wanted it to become my job!
Within the first year of living here, I adopted a husk/malamute puppy. The next thing I know... my dog needed a dog, so I adopted a 5 year old husky. They are my world, so I understand first-hand how much your pet means to you.
I am so excited to get to know you and your friend(s) so that I can love them like my own when you are away!
Emily D.
Hi there! My name is Emily and here is a little about me:
I've been around animals of all kinds, primarily dogs and cats, my entire life. Originally from central Maine, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Management and immediately moved out to Colorado after graduation.
The first thing I did when I moved out here was petsitting. It was a great way to keep myself busy, and I love hanging out with animals, so it was a win-win for me! I have 10+ years of experience caring for animals. Additionally, I also work for a national nonprofit serving lawyers who work with children and families and have 5+ years of experience in the nonprofit field.
I have so much care and love to give that pet sitting and spending time with animals is something that I find so fulfilling. I'm also currently a volunteer at my local animal shelter.
I look forward to meeting your pet(s) and ensuring they are healthy and happy!
Jade V.
Hello! My name is Jade, and here is a little about me!:
Growing up in the beautiful state of Colorado, my love for animals blossomed early on as I shared my life with dogs, cats, rabbits, and ferrets. After studying Human Services in Minnesota, I explored life in Washington, D.C., and Athens, Georgia, before returning to my roots in Colorado. For the past decade, I've dedicated myself to fostering and pet sitting, and in the last year, I’ve focused on rescuing street dogs from Guatemala. I’ve successfully fostered and found homes for several of these dogs, while also welcoming three into my own family. This mission has become my greatest passion, as I strive to give these dogs a second chance at life.
I live with my husband of seven years, along with our five dogs and three cats, in a lively home filled with love. As a member of Denver Pro Pet Sitting, I am committed to providing the best care for your furry companions. I look forward to meeting you and ensuring your pets feel safe and cherished in your absence!
Lydia Z.
Hi, I'm Lydia and I'm thrilled to be here!
I'm a passionate animal lover with over two decades of experience in veterinary technology. My love for animals began in California, where I grew up surrounded by various pets, including rats, hamsters, rabbits, and cats. This early exposure to the animal kingdom ignited a deep connection that led me to pursue a career in veterinary technology. After graduating from Bel Rea Institute of Animal Technology with an associate degree in animal technology, I embarked on a 10-year journey in the veterinary field, gaining hands-on experience in various settings. From working at animal shelters to assisting in animal rescues, I have witnessed the transformative power of veterinary care and the resilience of the animal spirit. Throughout my career, my passion for animals has only grown stronger.
I currently share my home with three furry companions – three dogs who bring joy and unconditional love into my life. My love for animals extends to reptiles as well, and I still have Monty, a reptile I rescued as a kid. My dedication to animal welfare extends beyond my professional endeavors. I actively volunteer my time and expertise to various animal organizations, advocating for the well-being of all creatures.
With over 20 years of experience, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of animal care, from providing compassionate veterinary care to educating pet owners on responsible pet ownership. My expertise lies in animal handling, medical procedures, and client communication, ensuring that every animal receives the best possible care. I’m committed to using my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the lives of animals. My passion for animal welfare drives me to provide exceptional care and advocate for the well-being of all creatures.
I look forward to getting to know and care for your beloved pets!
Averill D.
Hi! My name is Averill, and here is a little bit about me:
I grew up on the coast of Maine surrounded by lots of wildlife and my family’s numerous pets. Some of my earliest memories are of taking our dogs to swim in the ocean and our cats following us on walks to the beach. When I left home for college seven hours away in Boston, the hardest part was leaving my two dogs behind. As soon as I got my own apartment, I adopted my two cats, Dax and Gaius, and we’ve been adventuring together ever since. I have always loved getting to know animals’ unique personalities. I’ve been pet sitting for most of my adult life and have looked after many dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and more, and I’ve made some great furry (and human!) friends and memories. I can’t imagine life without animals!
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Media Studies at Simmons College in Boston. In addition to pet sitting, I work remotely for a study abroad company. I recently moved to Denver so I can explore this beautiful part of the country. I couldn’t be more excited to meet you and your fur babies and give them the same level of care and attention I give my own pets!
Rachel S.
Hey, hi, and hello! I'm Rachel but my friends call me Sully. I'm excited to get to know your pets! A bit about me -
Born and raised in Kansas, I had the good fortune to grow up on family land on multiple acres. The houses on my street consisted of my grandparents house, an aunt's house, 3 different uncles' houses - and of course, my father's house - all in a row! Needless to say the pets were plentiful. While we never operated as an official farm, there were many farm animals I got to play with and help take care of not just in our own home but my family neighbors as well. This includes many goats, horses, chickens, ferrets, pigs, a donkey, a llama, cats and dogs of course - and more! At one point we had 5 cats and 7 dogs at once - with sizes ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. So I am quite comfortable with animals of all sizes and handling multiple pets at once.
In 2022, my now fiancé and I moved to Colorado and brought our 2 cat children with us. Gucci, our eldest, runs the house and her personality fits perfectly with her name. Biskitt is our youngest child who is full of energy and always getting into new adventures! Both listen as well as cats do, and both know how to play fetch! I've found it's all about their favorite toy and being very, very, VERY patient.
Having my own pets, I know how important it is to find someone you trust to take care of them when you're away, and in the way that you want them taken care of. I'm excited to meet you and your pets to provide this service, and spend my time hanging out with animals!
Julia B.
Hey there! My name is Julia:
Hello! I'm Julia and I'm honored to take care of your four legged family. I've always had a deep love for animals, growing up with dogs, cats, hamsters, snakes, an iguana, and the little frogs that would take over our pool. I love to travel, learn languages, cook food with plants, sing, listen to music, and spend time out in nature, especially in water. I've worked in 6 doggy daycares over the last 7 years, in a handful of different states, including Hawaii! It wasn't until recently that I figured out what I want to pursue as a career- I am currently in schooling to become a certified dog trainer and will most likely carry on to work with shelter dogs and service dog training as well. Dogs bring me a joy like no other, and creating a trusting bond with them is truly special. It makes me so happy to give owners peace of mind knowing their little creature is in safe hands and getting all of the love they deserve.
Julia J.
Hello there! My name is Julia. Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me!
I've been an animal lover my whole life and grew up with cats, dogs, and fish! I’m originally from Tokyo, Japan, and I've truly enjoyed living in Colorado for 20 plus years (Denver for the past 4 years). It’s great to live in another pet-friendly city! Fun fact, I graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a Medical Assistant.
Caring for animals is truly my passion! After leaving a long career in human healthcare, I became a dog walker and a pet sitter in 2021. This career change has been one of the best decisions of my life! I have both professional and personal experiences handling cats, dogs, fish/aquariums, and other small critters such as turtles, frogs, hamsters, and hedgehogs. It's an absolute joy to care for animals and make sure their needs are met and beyond.
I look forward to getting to know your furry companions!
Kyja F.
Hi there! My name is Kyja and here is a little about me:
I’m born and raised in Colorado and have had the privilege to live in some of the most beautiful places in the state. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a strong love and desire for connecting with animals. I was raised in Winter Park where I spent most of my time outdoors, training as a competitive mogul skier. Not only was I lucky enough to spend my childhood in such a beautiful place with one dog and one cat of my own; I also spent countless springs, summers, and falls riding horses, and surrounded by all kinds of other farm animals. I learned invaluable lessons that animals have to teach us, as well as experiencing the unconditional love they have for us.
Following high school, I attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Finance. While in my last year of school, I started pet sitting for family members that live in the Denver area. Since then, I have become the go-to sitter for my friend's, family, and neighbor’s furry friends! After graduation in 2023, I moved to Denver and I couldn’t love it more! I have been able to foster one cat, Reaper (pictured), for close to 8 months, and more recently, I adopted a cat of my own, Rue!
I’m so excited to connect with you and your pets, ensuring they receive the best care to live the happiest and healthiest life possible!
Emily M.
Hey there! I’m Emily and here’s a little bit about me:
I was born and raised here in the beautiful state of Colorado and have had a passion for animals as long as I remember. As a kid, our household was never complete without animals and was lucky enough to grow up with dogs, birds, snakes, turtles and hamsters and fish! Currently, I have three wonderful chihuahua mixes that are the loves of my life and have been with me on countless adventures.
I went to college at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs to pursue my love of the mountains and since then have had successful careers in both the jewelry and most recently the ski industry while also being a caretaker for my mom.
Being active outdoors, animals, and caretaking are all huge passions of mine so becoming a professional pet sitter and dog walker is truly my dream job. I can’t wait to brighten your pets day as well as my own by working together!
Claudia T.
Animals, art, and nature have always been my strongest passions in life. In my natural habitat, you will usually find me snuggling with a furbaby, spending time with friends and family, painting, hiking, or playing in my garden. Growing up surrounded by animals as a child, I’ve developed a strong love and empathy for every single one of them. I believe that animals carry wisdom and teach us life lessons everyday.
As an adult, I've rescued and cared for several senior dogs of my own, ensuring they lived their final years with quality care. Now, as a devoted pet parent to two cats, I can’t imagine a life without furry friends by my side.
In addition to my love for animals and working with them directly, I hold a BA in Expressive & Therapeutic Arts and am an entrepreneur, owning a graphic design business. Having lived in Colorado for the past seven years, I’m committed to establishing a strong community while serving both animals and their owners, helping them live their best lives with the compassion and dedication they deserve.
Areli S.
Hello! My name is Areli and here is a little bit about me:
I was born and raised in beautiful Colorado. I am currently enrolled in college working towards my degree in Cybersecurity. I have never lived in a house without animals, I have always been surrounded by cats, dogs, rats, turtles, and fish. I have experience at working at a doggy daycare, and I absolutely fell in love with every dog at that facility. I treated all of them as if they were my own.
My fur family consists of two cats, Alva and Dez. My partner and I recently added a new member to our family, a puppy named Zara. These fur babies are my whole life, and I would give up everything to ensure they are happy. I will put the same love and effort towards your fur babies as well. I know what it is like to wonder how your pets are doing when you're gone, rest assured they are taken care of!
I can't wait to meet you and your fur family!
Lauren B.
Hi there! I'm Lauren and here is a little about me:
I was born and raised here in Colorado and have lived in Broomfield, Fort Collins, Evergreen, and now am located in Centennial. I absolutely love spending time outside in our beautiful state, hiking, camping, and snowboarding. My love for nature and animals led to me graduating from Colorado State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability and a minor in Conservation Biology. I have always loved animals and likely would have followed my brother's footsteps to become a veterinarian, but I am squeamish and also know that I would struggle with all of the sad moments. So I figured the next best way to work with animals is pets sitting and dog walking!
With a lifelong love for animals and a deep understanding of the bond between pets and their families, my goal is to not just be a pet sitter, but a devoted caretaker and companion for your furry friends. Growing up with a cherished dog and cat, I know firsthand the joy and responsibility that comes with pet ownership. Starting around the age of 11, I've been entrusted by friends and neighbors to house sit and pet sit their dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and a snake! While in college I worked for two years at a dog grooming salon, which reinforced my commitment to pet welfare. During this time I gained experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments, and in an environment that made many of the pups anxious I learned how to read their behavioral cues and tailor the appointment to ensure their comfort and safety. I bring a genuine passion for pets, a wealth of hands-on experience, and the dedication to treat your beloved animals as if they were my own. I am very excited to meet you and your furry companions!
